Building a Robotarium
Full-stack development of a remotely accessible multi-robot research testbed at Georgia Tech
The Robotarium is a remotely accessible, multi-robot research testbed at Georgia Tech that lets researchers and students run swarm-robotics experiments on real hardware from anywhere. I worked across the full stack of the testbed — from robot design and firmware to the software framework that keeps it running autonomously.
The new Robotarium will remain a remotely accessible testbed. However, one key difference between the new Robotarium and the original testbed will be its accessibility to a broader user community. The new Robotarium will be dedicated to supporting hands-on robotics education and research for faculty and students in the College of Computing. Together with the Advanced Robotic Manipulation (ARM) Lab, the Robotarium will form the Advanced Mobile Robotics (AMR) Lab.
